Welcome !

I am a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Peter Sollich at the University of Göttingen, mainly working on the mechanical and dynamical properties of dense active matter.

Previously, I was a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Alessio Zaccone at the University of Milan (Italy), where I studied the mechanical and vibrational properties of amorphous materials.

During my PhD at The Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai (India), supervised by Prof. Pinaki Chaudhuri, I investigated the thermal and mechanical response of glassy systems using large-scale simulations.

Broadly, I am interested in soft matter, statistical physics, and disordered systems.

Research Interests

  • Active amorphous materials
  • Vibrational properties of amorphous solids
  • Mechanical response of amorphous materials: yielding, plasticity, shear banding, modulus
  • Inhomogeneity in glassy systems and its mechanical consequences
  • Thermal response of glass-forming systems: thermophoresis, local heating/cooling, thermal processing
  • Rheology of complex fluids: microscopic response, macroscopic response, structural changes
  • Flow under confinement: Poiseuille flow, Couette flow
